Coney Island is making an appearance in Tokyo this summer.

Beyond honored that my photograph has been selected for the Tokyo Street Photography Festival and to be among a global group of street photographers doing this work all over the world. Thank you to the organizers @frame_tokyo for the opportunity.

This is the second time this photo has appeared in Tokyo this year. It was part of the TOKYO STREETS X – 4 WPÜ exhibition held in Shinjuku last April.

Cities around the world possess their own unique daily rhythms and distinct perspectives from which they are viewed.

The TOKYO STREET PHOTOGRAPHY FESTIVAL 26 is Japan’s only international open-call photography exhibition dedicated exclusively to street photography.

Marking its fourth edition, this year’s festival features an international open-call exhibition showcasing photographers from 29 countries, alongside a special international cultural exchange exhibition hosted by the Oslo Street Photography Collective from Norway.

Street photography from across the globe comes together here, creating a space where diverse cultures, values, and “ways of seeing the city” intersect.

In this year’s open-call exhibition, works are displayed across two distinct zones: one for color and one for monochrome. Experience the contrast between the reality revealed by color and the essence evoked by monochrome as you explore the photographers’ diverse perspectives.

Street photography is more than just capturing images of a city; it is a form of expression that connects people and cultures.
